Veterinarian Launches FDA Approved Sunscreen

April 18th, 2008 by dsheffler

A veterinarian in Florida has released a special kind of sunscreen - one that will protect your pet!  Currently the spray is only for use on horses and dogs, but vet Michael Fleck is working on developing sunscreen that you will be able to use on your cats.

This is absolutely great news for pet owners, you don’t have to worry about your pet in the sun!  You can play outside all day long and know that your pet is protected.  Frankly, I was surprised that sunscreen for pets did not already exist, but I am very glad it does now!

Epi-Pee Sun Protector Spray (designed for horses and dogs) is one of several pet skin care products to be developed and released in the past two years by veterinarian Michael Fleck.  His other products include:  a Cleansing Agent Shampoo, Multi-Functional Skin Enrichment Spray, and an Electrolyte Replacement powder (all of these can be used on both cats and dogs).

His new products claim to stop excessive shedding, itching and unpleasant pet odor, and stimulate re-growth of hair.  Their products are available at : www.epi-pet.com and prices of their products are very reasonable.  They even have an ingredient list for each of their products so you can see exactly what you are putting on your pet.  I recommend taking a look at what they have to offer!
