Duffy - Shepherd/Lab Mix - ADOPTED!

May 20th, 2008 by dsheffler

Pet Rescue of Miami please take a look and visit their website for adoption information.  Please take a closer look at Duffy, he has been living in a shelter for over 8 years now.  It is such a sad story - let’s find him a forever home!

Duffy is still looking for his forever home, the reason it has been so difficult is because he won’t do well with cats or male dogs.  He was attacked by a bunch of male dogs at the shelter (probably a stupid thing like food or something, because before that he ran with male and female dogs), and he is unpredictable in a situation with male or numerous dogs together.  He will be fine with a female dog.  We also do not want him to go to a shelter or rescue situation.  So, with that clarification,  I am still looking to get Duffy out of the shelter into a forever home.  The best home will be with one other female dog or just a human family.  It would be best in Florida so that the family could meet him first.  I am not giving up and either is he.  We know that the family is out there somewhere.

My grandma has a dog named “Monkey” and he looks just like this without the black on his face. He is such a great dog and I am glad she adopted him. :)
