Home Remedies For Your Pet’s Acne

This is just a follow-up to the previous post I did about pet acne. This post is going to discuss acne treatment, home remedies you can do right in your own home!

- Clean the area every day. Washing the area with warm soap and water will remove surface bacteria and it will help break down the material that is causing the breakouts.

- Treat it with heat. Using a hot pack on the area can also help to open up the pores. I suggest using a warm washcloth (wringing out the excess water) and placing it on the affected area for about 5 minutes per day.

- Soothe with aloe. Applying a thin layer of aloe gel will help ease the discomfort your pet is in. You can use an aloe plant you have or buy aloe gel from your local store.

- Keep your hands off! It may be tempting to squeeze the acne and pimples, but this is a huge mistake! Squeezing them will cause pain to your pet and may also cause the acne to become infected.
