Benefits of Wood Flooring
If you are thinking of getting a new animal in your home (especially a puppy or kitten), you may want to consider the many benefits of having wood flooring in your home. If you have someone who is allergic to pet dander - it will be easier to clean on wood flooring. If you have carpeting, the dander can easily become trapped below the surface of the carpeting - making it much harder to get to when you vacuum.
If you are thinking of getting a puppy or a kitten, you need to be worried about accidents in the house. Accidents are much easier to clean up on wood flooring - it has nothing to soak into and is very easy to disinfect. When the area is completely clean, you decrease the chance of your puppy going in the same spot - he will not be able to smell it!

We have both dogs and cats. We have tried all kinds of flooring. Carpet gets too dirty and tile is cold and hard. We like wood floors the best.

Yeah carpet can raise a series of issues if you have a pup or a cat that really looses hair. Also if you ever get fleas there is a process to try to remove the fleas that is exhausting.
