Unexpected Holiday Hazards For Your Pets

During the holidays you may be planning on having your family over - if you have pets, there are a few things you need to keep in mind to keep them safe during this stressful time of year.

With everyone coming and going, medications may be left within his or her reach. It takes only seconds for dogs to break into those childproof containers and down birth control pills, diet pills, heart medication or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Warn guests to keep those things well out of reach.

Guests may also forget to shut a gate or a door, so it is important that you keep your eye out!  The holidays are a wonderful time for us to get together - but you need to make sure your guests are aware of your pets.  You also need to make sure you keep an extra careful watch for things your guests may forget!
