Maggie’s Bad Habit
Maggie loves to be outside when the weather is warm. Some times she goes to the door as soon as she gets back inside so we never know if she has to go to the bathroom or if she just wants to get out there and run around. But we take her out anyways (since we’d rather not risk it).
Her main problem once she gets outside is focusing on the task at hand (especially if I know she has to go potty). She gets distracted by every little thing – any rustle of leaves, and small insect, any noise. It’s hard to get her to focus and go potty but we have started to encourage her to pay attention and do her business in a timely manner.
Maggie gets more distracted than people looking at a cardboard display, so it takes a lot of patience to take her out to use the bathroom. But, every day that goes by without a mess in the house is a victory!
Thanks for reading! We’ll bark at you later!

I think this is natural for most dogs. My friends dog loves being out in the sun and when it is warm as well. Especially as he lives by a river so his dog just darts straight away towards the river to go swimming. Dogs can have the same personality as us at times, were just the same, most of us can’t stay in the house on a warm day!
