Keeping Your Pet Warm In Winter
With temperatures falling across the country (since it is winter), there are many options out there to keep your pet warm during these cold winter months. I have seen in many Walgreen’s stores a snuggie for dogs. I know Maggie gets incredibly cold, so we do have a sweater that we put on her when she goes outside so she stays warm. When she comes inside, we have a blanket that we can wrap her in so she warms up. When it is cold outside, it’s important to slowly warm your pet up otherwise their body temperature can rise too quickly.
When people are cold, they use an electric blanket to warm up, but these are not a good idea to use on your pet. They can easily overheat and their skin can burn from the electric blanket. Just be sure to exercise caution during these winter months, many things can be hazardous to your pet including the chemicals put on the roads to melt the ice, antifreeze, and even rock salt.
Thanks for reading! we’ll bark at you later!
