Maggie Goes to the Vet

Maggie has an appointment with the vet this evening - she is going to get her nails trimmed and have her anal glands cleaned.  I know - it doesn’t sound very pleasant at all, and I know for her it can’t be much fun.  When we used to take her to the vet, she never got car sick, but lately (at least the past few times), she has gotten sick on the way home - any ideas on what could be causing this?

When I am driving with her in the car, I make sure she is secure in the passenger seat where I can see her easily and keep her under control.  If I put her in the backseat of the car, she tends to walk around back there and it is just about impossible for me to keep her out of trouble.  We recently bought a seat belt that attaches to her harness which is supposed to keep her in a stable position in the seat.  I haven’t tried it out yet, but when I do, I will post a review on my blog.

Some pet owners have car insurance for their animals - but I do not.  The only thing I have is cheap car insurance that fully insures my car, and we really don’t have Maggie in the car long enough to warrant getting insurance for her.  Do you have car insurance that covers your pet?  I recently saw a Progressive commercial where they were advertising pet car insurance - if you have coverage, please leave your comments below!
