Pet Health Insurance – Your Input Needed!

I am still looking for pet owners who currently have health insurance for their animals to contact me and give our readers some advice, and pros and cons of having insurance for your pet.  From an objective standpoint, it seems like having health insurance for your pet would be a good thing – but that all depends on the amount of coverage you are able to get and how much your premiums are each month.  For people, health insurance is pretty straightforward and you basically know what you are getting into before you buy.  Plus we also have the option of shopping around to find the right coverage that fits our needs. For example, Blue Cross NC may offer you the best health coverage, or you may find that another provider gives you more of the coverage you are looking for and able to afford.

I am just curious to know how many people have health insurance for their pets and if it is worth it.  What types of services are you able to use the coverage on?  Are you limited on what veterinarians you are able to go to?  If you currently have health insurance for your pet, please contact me (either by using the form for comments, or sending me an email – dsheffler@petstrong.com).
