Safe Traveling With Your Pet
Now that the weather is starting to warm up and Spring is right around the corner, many people will begin taking car rides with their pets. Maggie loves to be in the car (only if we’re going to the park and not the vet’s office), and there are certain precautions we take to make sure she stays safe on the car ride. We purchased a seat belt for her that attaches onto her harness and ensures that she stays secured in the seat while I am driving. We also make sure the car is clean and doesn’t have any scraps of paper or other dangerous items she might try to eat.
Another thing to think about is having roadside assistance for you and your family in case something does happen while you are driving. The website www.goodsamers.com provides roadside assistance for your vehicle. This can come in handy if it’s warm outside and you and your pet need help right away.
