Loud Noises That Scare Our Dogs

The number one noise that scares Maggie is fireworks – I think this is a pretty common thing for dogs to be frightened of and I am sure for many of you, the week of July 4th can be a struggle.
Maggie is also scared of lightening and thunder. No matter what time we have a storm, Maggie shakes and shakes until the storm is over. I know there really isn’t much I can do to comfort her while she is like that, so night with storm tend to be sleepless ones for me.
If you’ve ever heard how loud a receipt printer can be, you’d understand how a dog could be scared of this noise too.
