Helping Maggie Lose Weight

During her yearly checkup with the veterinarian, we were told that Maggie needs to drop about 4 pounds in order to be at a healthy weight for her breed (she’s a Beagle) so we have been working really hard to get her in shape before she packs on the pounds for winter.  We have been able to steer clear of the natural weight loss products that have been approved for use in pets.  I am absolutely against using anything manufactured for Maggie’s weight loss.  Dogs cannot tell us what’s wrong with them, so there really is no way to know how they are really feeling if they are taking certain drugs.  It’s pretty risky to use, but I am curious to know if any of you use manufactured weight loss drugs for your pet.  Please leave your comments below.
